I love to cook and I am constantly collecting recipes. The ultimate find is a recipe that my whole family likes. Every member of the family can be picky so I've tried to find "fool proof," or I should say "kid proof" and "husband proof" recipes, that taste good, are budget friendly and healthy.
I've also concocted a series of Alphabet Dinners designed to make learning the alphabet fun! A project which I started for my son. It has been very helpful in helping my kids learn the alphabet and lots of fun for the family.
I've created this blog because I think if you have a good idea you should share it. I don't know where I would be if others hadn't shared their ideas with me.I hope these ideas will be as useful to you as they are to me. Happy cooking!
I'm something of an old-fashioned meets modern kind of girl in pursuit of my best self. I'm a wife, mother and so much more. I love just about everything about my life. And while I don't know if I'll ever get exaclty where I'm headed, the journey is half the fun.
Fall Back to School Lunches and Snacks Whatever else strikes my fancy. :)
*Unless otherwise stated I use reduced fat, low sodium products and olive oil. (light for baking)
Did You Know?
*Get your beauty sleep. Important hormone production is regulated during sleep; in children, human growth hormone (HGH) is released during deep sleep. Insufficient sleep can affect hormonal balance in adults as well. Tissue repair also occurs during sleep, including repair to the daily skin damage done by UV light. Getting enough deep sleep will help your skin repair itself.
*Sleep is also important for concentration, memory formation and the repair of damage to your body’s cells during the day. Chronic lack of sleep increases the risk for developing obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and infections.
